How To Donate June 1, 2026 By Irfana Aslam

What Happens After You Donate to PulseGivers

Curious what happens to your money after you hit send? We walk you through every step — from the moment we receive your donation to the personal update you receive from your patient.

One of the most important questions a donor can ask is: "What actually happens to my money?" We believe you deserve a detailed, honest answer to that question. Here it is, step by step.

Within 24 Hours: Confirmation

As soon as your transfer arrives in our account, our team sends you a personal confirmation email. This email includes the patient's name, the amount received, and the planned use of funds. It is signed personally by our founder, Irfana Aslam — not an automated system.

Within 48 Hours: Disbursement

Funds are transferred directly to the hospital, pharmacy, or clinic treating the patient. We do not hold funds or batch donations — we disburse as soon as possible after confirmation. Every disbursement is accompanied by a payment reference.

Within 48 Hours of Disbursement: Receipt Collection

Our team follows up with the hospital or pharmacy within 48 hours to collect the official receipt. This receipt is scanned and stored. It will be included in that month's public impact report.

Within 2 Weeks: Your Personal Update

Within two weeks of the disbursement, you will receive a personal update from your patient. This typically includes a photo and a short message from the patient or their family. This is our favourite part — because it connects the donor directly to the life they helped save.

Every Month: Public Impact Report

At the end of every month, we publish a complete impact report on our website. It shows: total donations received, total disbursed, patient breakdown, receipts, and a summary of each patient's progress. Every number is verifiable.

"I donated $50 and thought I'd never hear anything. Then I got an email from Irfana with a photo of the family. The look on their faces — that's something I'll carry forever." — Donor, Canada
